Transforming the Lives of Children

Meet the Zola's

Pancho (Francisco) and Pitty (Clemencia) Zola along with their children Dany, Mateo, and Maria Victoria have dedicated their lives to Jesus, and are a beautiful example of a family living all-in and on-mission for the glory of God.

The School

Amor y Esperanza (Love and Hope) was founded in 2003 after Pancho felt God’s compassion for children and families living in the Carmen Bajo neighborhood of Quito, Ecuador.

While the school officially began in 2000 with a Kindergarten class, Amor Y Esperanza’s roots go back to when Pancho and Pitty Zola started day care centers in the Carmen Bajo neighborhood.  The Lord touched the Zola’s hearts when they found 5 children locked in a small house, crying, dirty and hungry, with no one to care for them and no opportunity for schooling. The Zola’s saw that the education level in poor neighborhoods was seriously inadequate and that families needed support and solutions. Through much prayer, the Lord inspired them to provide these families daycare solutions.

With these daycare centers running well, the burden soon grew for the older children. Being blessed with the Lord’s favor, and that of the neighborhood, a clear opportunity arose to begin a Christian school. Each year a new grade was added to keep up with the kids as they grew and with increased demand as residents began to take note of the quality care and education offered by the school.

The school serves 200+ children from 1st grade to 10th grade.


By providing quality Christian education to impoverished communities, our mission is to inspire hope by sharing and portraying the gospel of Jesus Christ in Quito, Ecuador.


Amor y Esperanza’s vision is to transform the lives of children and their families for the Kingdom of God through education, food programs, income generation, and other programs that will contribute to the transformation of our community.


Amor y Esperanza goals:

  • New stat-of-the-art building that would serve 700+ students and serve as a community center.
  • Replicate their vision in surrounding communities through Equador.


Pray specifically today for your church and other churches of your community or area. As you pray through today’s passages from Scripture, apply these promises to this specific focus— Religion (and more specifically, the Church). Include churches and denominations “by name,” asking God to bless them with true revival. Pray specifically for revival in your church and the churches of your area and for a resulting spiritual awakening in your community so that many might come to Christ as the result. Additionally, remember people of other faiths and religions, that they might experience the transforming grace of Jesus Christ.


Ephesians 3:14-21
For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom every
family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out
of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through
his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your
hearts through faith.


Ephesians 1:17-19
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious
Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that
you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may
be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he
has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy
people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.
